Subject: Brent rules this Shakedown
Wait, I meant ruins. What is he trying to sound like, a cartoon ghoul? You'll wish Day Job never ended.

Subject: No end to the surprises
I've been tooling around on IA for a couple of years now and I have to say the best part about it is the surprises that come your way. This show is a prime example. I've been listening to the Dead for more than half my life and have just really discovered the charms of late '82 shows. Brent has truly hit his stride here and his confidence helps the band gel.
The Playin'>Crazy fingers combo from this era is excellent and manages to bring both tunes to a higher level. The CF here is a definite highlight.
Let it Grow (some excellent Jerry noodles), Sailor>Saint and a way-above-average Shakedown are also highlights for me.
Great little gem!

Still investigating. Pre-drums is sick.

Subject: good one
Interesting song/jam selections with PITB weaving throughout a high energy 1st set. Highlights of a solid second set are a great JG solo during Saint of Circumstance and climactic BW vocal improv during a high energy Good Lovin.

Subject: Beautiful
Listen to the playin jam before let it grow, yes the 4th variation of the show.

Nice crazy fingers, beautiful jammin in nfa, Stella got really good in the mi. 80's

Very unique setlist and inspired musicianship. I am not the biggest fan of spring 82 except Berkeley and a few other exceptions.

Subject: Girlfriend or Jerry???
The highest of Highs and the lowest of lows. Went up to this show w/ an old Hippie friend who, believe it or not, had never seen the Dead. Dosed on Purple gels and had a blast. 1st set was amazing. We were sooo high by the end we had to wait about 2+ hours after the show to find our car. On the way back to Lynchburg, Va we were driving in a real and induced fog and one of us stated"They need to plant a 7-11 somewhere nearby." 5 mins later a green and orange glow beckoned us and voila'! Needless to say it was full of Heads. When I got home, I found my GF w/ another guy. She gave me the ultimatum. Her or Jerry. She lost. Not after a night like that!!

Subject: Awesome Show
I love the Cap Centre, as was my most frequent venue for seeing the Dead. I was not at this show, but it is high quality. Among other highlights, the Playin, Crazy Fingers, Playin Jam openers are killer and bring that second set flavor to the first set. East Coast Fall '82 must have been an awesome tour, if this show and the previous night (UVA) are any indication.

I am so thankful for this website and all these great shows in one place.

This is a groovy little show from 1982. I will admit, I'm completely lost in this year. Okay, I'm pretty much lost in every year, but that's neither here nor there. I like this show. It has a cool Playin' theme running throughout.
My advice is to start picking shows up like a madman. Burn now, sort 'em out later. Before it's too late.
It seems that the soundboard shows are going down faster than your sister with two shots of tequila in her.
